OK, as you probably noticed I worked a fair bit on the blog appearance last night. I got it so that when you are on individual post pages I have a two column rather than three column view. That way the text is wider. (Much like in my old blog)

I’ve tweaked the fonts slightly so that in Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows they anti-alias better. The site still looks considerably better under Safari in my opinion. (Available on Windows as well) But there isn’t quite the big gap there was. IE still doesn’t render anti-aliasing properly on the quote fade in. So I’m thinking of taking the fade out. This is primarily because IE does a pretty poor job of handling css properly in general. But I’ve worked around most of its issues. The only remaining one is that in the comment list on the sidebar the first comment is indented. This only happens with IE and I can’t figure out how to remove it. So all you poor unfortunate souls using IE will probably just have to live with it. However in Firefox the vertical padding of the comments is off. (Even in the new betas) So I’ll probably have to do some more tweaking when I get some time.

As you probably noticed the sideblog is up. I’ll start adding to that more regularly although I still don’t have the time to spend blogging that I did last year.

One benefit now is that you can add comments on side blog posts if you want. They’ll also come up when you do a search.

In the post comments I’ve got it so that comments are numbered. I also tweaked the appearance slightly.

Anyway I really like feedback so tell me what you like, hate or suggestions for new things.
