Running Out of Fish

Are we running out of fish? It’s sad this hasn’t got more media coverage. I remember when the fisheries where I lived (Nova Scotia) collapsed. They used to be so plentiful you could literally catch fish by putting a bucket over the side of your boat. I really worry about rising temperatures in the Antarctic seas and how it’ll wipe out the fish there. The recent problems with salmon is but one example. The only bright spot is squid but I hate squid. (grin)

I think things are as bad as I say if not worse. I think that it’s almost inevitable that we’ll have a collapse of ocean food supplies which will have some huge implications for many countries - especially 3rd world ones. I also think that oceans will rise regardless of actions Europeans or Americans take simply because of China and India if not the rest of Africa and Asia. And of course America in particular won’t take sufficient steps to stop global warming. So I expect to live to see the day where much of Louisiana is under water along with large portions of the gulf coast and Florida.

I notice you appear to be doing a lot of scare mongering on the environment. Do you really believe things are as bad as you say? Under reported by the media. I think it’s all over hyped.
