Timeless Classics

Razib on the timeless classics. i.e. which old authors of past centuries are really worth reading. I vote Plato and Leibniz as inherently worth reading. And I’m told it’s very fruitful trying to do calculus and mechanics the way Newton did (instead of Leibniz whose method we largely follow).
