The Sideblog

I installed some new traffic monitoring stuff for the blog. Reading some of the statistics has been quite interesting. One thing that surprised me is how few people click through the sideblog links. Indeed I have far more people (by an order of magnitude) coming into the blog here than go out to other sites.

So just as a curiosity do you find the sideblog useful? I admit that I started it on my old blog primarily as a place to collect primarily philosophy links to read at a later time. That is while at work I’d find the stories I wanted to read, put them on the blog, and then read them at home. However I brought it over here because I figured others enjoy having a list of interesting stories.

If you think I could improve the sideblog let me know. Admittedly I’ve been so busy the past few weeks that I’ve not kept it up as much as I have in the past. But still, I am curious as to what you think.

I really like the sideblog: I check it at least every couple of days to see if something interesting pops up. I might even be able to say that I read what’s there more than the entries.

I like it and use it pretty regularly, but there is some overlap in the things you and I read, and of course not every link that doesn’t fall into that overlap is one that will interest me, so I’d be surprised if I clicked through a link on the sideblog more than once every dozen or so links you put up. I imagine most people are the more or less the same.

I check out the sideblog daily. Keep it up!
