Derrida and the Text

What is a text for Derrida? I like to think of what Derrida is after as an inverted transcendental argument. Rather than what makes some feature of experience possible like Kant or Husserl, Derrida is asking what is constituted in reading. (To me this ends up being a Peircean analysis of the sign done in Husserlian and Hegelian language – I think Peirce is clearer here)
