Blog Update

Just a quick note. I updated the blog somewhat. The main bit was upgrading WP to 2.7.1. However I also added a few other features.

There is now an ability to get email updates. The plugin I picked isn’t as “pretty” as some of the others but seemed less obtrusive since most people won’t want email updates on comments. Right below the comment entry block there is now link that says “manage subscriptions.” Click on this and you can turn on or off email updates.

I had also turned on message threading but I decided that I preferred it unthreaded. Let me know if you think threads are a great idea.

Can you also add a way to receive comments on am individual post by RSS?

And which email update plugin do you use?

OK, I’ll look into that as soon as I get a moment today.

I’m using the Subscribe to Comments plugin. There were others that had a nicer UI. But I found them more obtrusive, although perhaps there’s some I missed.
