I'm using the <a href="http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/subscribe-to-comments/" rel="nofollow">Subscribe to Comments</a> plugin. There were others that had a nicer UI. But I found them more obtrusive, although perhaps there's some I missed. OK, I’ll look into that as soon as I get a moment today.
