The Problem of Fit

The problem of fit and magnetic laws. AKA why when we pick a hypothesis are we so often right? (In Peirce this is termed the logic of abduction) I’m not sure I buy the theistic implications though. (And Peirce drew them as well — see this essay on his argument)
