The Risk of Debt The idea that the world would buy US Treasuries to finance Obama’s debt at the rates Obama wants always seemed a pipe dream. Akin to Bush thinking he didn’t need to imagine a guerilla war in Iraq. I’d say on the basis of debt alone that Obama’s many revolutionary plans, such as health care, are probably wishful thinking. Much like many of Bush’s plans were.
