Global Warming Pause?

Is there a pause in global warming? Lots of sites cherry pick 1998 – 2008 and are pretty misleading in how they do it.

I’m rather disappointed in this warming pause. I was truly hoping for the earth to warm up 2 or 3 degrees Celsius. After all, that would make things toasty enough in the northern climes to grow more crops over longer seasons. Past climate studies I’ve seen show that a warmer clime tends to create more tropical rain forests, also.
