Inequality and the Importance of Cognition

I think one huge problem in America is the rise of importance of cognitive skills. It simply means those without them are going to face downward pressure. However Marginal Revolution notes the feedback mechanism in all this. I suspect it’ll only get worse and income redistribution wouldn’t help much even if attempted. (Although look for the counterarguments in the comments)
