SMPT Submissions

Submissions are due December 1 for our 2010 Annual Meeting, March 25-27 at Utah Valley University. The conference theme is “The Measure of Their Creation-Theological Anthropology,” and we particularly encourage submissions on this theme, but will give full consideration to submissions on any aspect of Mormon belief.

Once again I’ll not be presenting. Yes, starting your own business drains time. I still have a Heidegger paper I’ve got half written that I think would be quite cool and appropriate for this theme. Hopefully some of the stuff on flat ontology by folks like Adam Miller gets discussed.

Ben Huff also mentioned travel stipends for students.

We are pleased to announce that again this year a limited number of travel stipends, of up to $300 each, will be available on a competitive basis for students presenting papers at our upcoming conference, March 25-27 at Utah Valley University. Decisions will be based primarily on (1) the strength of the submission and (2) the distance from which the student will be traveling. Students wishing to be considered for travel support should indicate this when submitting their paper proposals.

Even though you will not be presenting, will you be attending? Thanks for the reminder.

I honestly don’t know. I’m going to try since it’s just down the street from the factory. But I have no idea what my schedule will be like then.

Sent mine in yesterday.
