Reassessing Quinn’s Early Mormonism and the Magic World View. I think there’s a lot to the thesis but I remain convinced the book isn’t very good. I keep hoping someone else will write a better book. Quinn’s is too much the scattergun approach with parallels divorced too much from context.

Quite long so it reveals a lot of the useful info from the book. “19th century Mormonism is characterized from Taysom’s view as a series of mounting tensions ‘followed by capitulation and the reformulation of boundaries’”
Revising the Date of the Neandertals
Revising the date of the Neandertals. Pushed their date back by about 10,000 years. This will be controversial I suspect.
