Swine Flu

Sorry for no posts. I came down with a very, very bad case of swine flu and ended up needing hospitalization for it. (I need assistance to breath)

It really sucks – especially given how hard I tried to get the vaccine.

I’m still in the hospital and have no idea when I’ll be out.

Update on the Blog

OK, I’m slowly getting back into blogging here again. I thought I’d mention a few minor changes. First, the sideblog entries will now show up with the rss feed. Let me know if you don’t like that. Basically if a post is just a few sentences it goes in the sideblog. I’ll be updating the sideblog a lot the next few days.

The meatier posts will go into the main posts. I’ve given up on my Davidson series because I don’t have time to read him in depth and because when I did folks who knew Davidson kept saying I was getting him terribly wrong. So I figure I’ll just acknowledge my ignorance of what he is really getting at (probably due to my misunderstanding of his Event framework) but still be influenced from my engagements with him. The best I can say is that judging how many prominent names are also said to have misread him I’m at least in good company.

My next series of posts will primarily be religious oriented. My apologies for the non-Mormon readers of the blog. Hopefully you keep checking in though and offer a critique of what I say in a religious context to keep me honest.

We got some huge contracts at work that probably will keep me busy for the next few months. I’ll still be blogging here but don’t really have the time to dedicate to thinking through philosophy. So posting will be erratic. (Subscribe via rss to see when I post)

I do have a more technologically oriented blog I’ll probably blog a bit at as well. That’ll be more busy.

OK, sorry once again for the paucity of posts the past period. I’ve got a slew of stuff to write but just haven’t had time to write it all. I’ll start updating the sidebar so check it out. I’ll hopefully have a few posts added today as well.

We’ve had a few ups and downs on the new server as well. (Apparently Apache went down last night) I’m still tweaking those as well.
