Apparently Lineham looked good last weekend. Thanks for the picts Scott.

Joe McKay is back from Thailand, and he has been out climbing and taking pictures. Here are some of the images he recently took. Sulivans Buchannon Ridge opposite Oil City which I don't remember seeing formed like this before. Expert's choice, oh how sad. Perhaps rock shoes are in order? I know it would be comfortable out on the Hump. And finally Quick and Dirty Thanks a tonne for the picts and information Joe. Hopefully Lineham will be in good shape for you this weekend.

Well the ice opener melted away in the rain like the evil witch of the west. Sounds like a number of people want to try things again in January. I have a feeling it will be a fair bit smaller. As of Tuesday night, the Left Gully looked doable. The bottom pitch still had some ice on it, but I doubt it would be very solid. The top pitches surprisingly looked allright. Nothing is in up the Cameron Highway. Wall lake should still be fat, but avy is a big problem. The gasser seemed to have survive the chinook quite well. Brad Hagen sent me a picture taken by Mark Zieber of the area from a couple of days ago. I would be glad to hear of any more conditions. If you have some, try posting on one of the boards below, or on the new Waterton Blog.

Leon Borbandy sent me some pictures from last weekend on the ice on the Crandell Highway. Quick and Dirty looks a bit thin. Expert's choice looks doable, although the right side isn't in yet. Thanks Leon.

Blair and Dave went into wall lake on Saturday as well. There are large cornices on top and lots of slide debris. However, the routes are supposed to be in pretty good shape.

For more information, try checking the waterton blog page that has gotten set up.

Now that I am in Lethbridge, I probably won't be able to get as many pictures and information as I used to. Luckily, Joe McKay has moved to the area and should be quite well informed on what is going on. This week a couple of friends have sent me some nice pictures of conditions last weekend (Nov 6th).

It looks like the Gasser and the mixed climbs to the left are in quite good shape. Thanks Scott. It also looks like the undone?? alpine route on the south face of Bertha is slowly coming in to shape. Thanks Dave.
