Red Rock has several decent climbs along its western side (bottom of the East Ridge of Blackiston). There is also a couple of thin, fun pillars and potential mixed routes at Red Rock Canyon proper. The difficulty lies in the fact that the road is now closed after Nov. 1st. Climbs do not come into shape before this date, although some usually do stay in shape until May, after the road has re-opened.
If you do decide to make the trek in, pick a time of year where the roads have blown clear, and try riding in on a bike. There will be some long strethces of snow in the trees that are impassable, but overall you should save yourself a number of hours. The other approach, is to hike from the Crandell Lake turnoff on the Cameron highway, up and over to the campground, and then to walk up the road to the end of the Canyon. This is a long approach, that really isn't justified by the climbing.
