Upper Cameron Creek

This is a beautiful mountain creek. The mandatory drops in the lower section have given this run a fiersome, although underserved reputation. Most drops do not have severe recirculation, and are relatively easy to portage.Wild Thing is by far the biggest drop, and is often ported on the left. The upper run can either be started at McNealy's Picnic Site, or Oil City. Putting in at Oil City gives you an opportunity to warm up on some class II to III ledges. Running Aldridge falls is optional. There are usually a couple of logs at the first corner below McNealy's these are easily visible from the road. Usually you can skirt under them.

The usual take out is the Expert's Choice pullout. This is the site of Deja Vu. It can easily be seen from the road.
