GATE

The road to Bovin (Blue) Lake, and hence the put in to Drywood Creek is closed for the Fall, Winter, and majority of the Spring. Usually the gate opens around the 1st of June. This makes the season fairly short. Contact the Blairmore ranger station for more information.

Put In
Drive up the shell plant service road past the gate.  A small 4x4 road continues up the valley to Bovin Lake.  Drive up this for about 1km to a steep hill.  Park at the base of the hill.  You must carry your boat about 100m through short, but thick brush to get to the river.

Take Out
While driving up the shell plant service road you will come to a fork in the road at a flare station.  Drive down along the left fork to a bridge across the creek.  Park here.
