HARTLEY CREEK

Introductions

Apparently on the Hartley Creek logging road, north east of Fernie has a crag that has been up for quite a while. From what I gather, gear routes around the grove at 5.8. Sport routes to the right are around 5.10. I have driven up this road a number of times but never managed to see anything that looked like a good crag. The only good rock I saw was a short outcropping by the Goat Lick where Sulphur Creek comes in.

Most of the info I have is from the Gripped Forum. If any one can give exact directions and info, it would be great.

Getting There

To get up the Hartley Creek road, turn into the trailer park about east of Fernie. As you get to the first house, an invisible dirt road takes off to the right (north). It looks like a driveway, and now has a homemade sign on the left side of the road. If you get to the trailer parks, you have gone too far.
