Rather disturbing news that bothered even me. I tend to take a hands off approach to science. I think that people often try to limit science ignorantly. However National Geographic is reporting that Chinese scientists have made a human - rabbit hybrid. It developed for several days before being destroyed. Now they are a little fuzzy on the details. So it might be more of the typical sensationalizing of biological issues that the media seems to love. For instance the article claims that Stanford is making mice with human brains. I'm very sure that the actual experiment is far more benign. However this is something to keep watch on. It would be nice to see a more balanced article with more ephasis on science and what actually is being done.
Bothers even you? What's the world coming to?
Funny. I meant it more as a self-depreciating comment in light of my occasional flaw of adopting a view of learning and inquiry that verges upon scientism at times. Of course pershaps it didn't come off that way...
That's all it appeared to be. I just couldn't resist the opportunity to emphasize the ridiculous.
