I'm sure most have heard about this, but the Library of Congress Joseph Smith Conference is being webcast. The conference is May 6th - 7th in D.C. (That's this Friday and Saturday). A schedule can be found on their official web site. About the only downside is that they are using Windows Media Player for the webcast. So depending upon what version they use, it may not work on Macs. The most interesting session sounds like the one Saturday morning at 9 chaired by the philosopher David Paulsen on Joseph's theological challenge.
Just to add to the above. LDS.org apparently will be storing the broadcasts for download at a latter time. Rather surprising given that it is an academic conference and thus the good and bad will be brought up.
